Year 2

I am Mrs Tilley (previously Miss Farrall) and I have taught at our school since 2016. During that time, I have taught across both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two where I have loved delivering all stages of the curriculum.

In 2015, I completed a degree in English and Creative writing. I thoroughly enjoy being creative through the mediums of art, writing, drama and poetry with the children, around the classroom and at home. I very much enjoy reading and love to listen to Audiobooks when I am out and about in the car, especially on long drives to Stoke-on-Trent where I grew up. My love of reading and writing has been a great help in my role as the English leader since 2018.

Outside of school, I enjoy travelling to different cities as well as camping with friends and family. During the summer, you’ll often find me pitched somewhere off the coast offering to light the next campfire before the sun has begun to set.

My name is Mr Regan. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in an infant school for four years as an LSA. During this time, I worked in the nursery, Reception and Year 2. I have been teaching at Alexander McLeod since 2011 and during this time have gained experience in both upper and lower KS2. I began my career as a Year 3 teacher before moving to Year 6 two years later. Throughout my time at Alex, I have worked in a range of roles: I was the DT lead for two years before taking over as the new assessment lead for the school in 2017. Since 2019, I have worked as a leader of learning within the school: I spent two years leading Years 3 and 4 and have completed two years leading Years 5 and 6.

My name is Miss Patterson and I am excited to start my first year of teaching at Alexander McLeod. I have experience working in eyfs, ks1 and ks2, and have spent time supporting children with SEND in the classroom. I have previously worked in a legal capacity in the finance, housing and music industries. As a mum to two young children, I am passionate about education, and helping inspire young minds. I am particularly passionate about reading, and sharing the escapism of a good book with children. I enjoy singing and musical theatre, and try to encorporate these passions to help children to find their confidence. I’m excited to be joining the year 1 team.
