Pupil Leadership
At Alexander McLeod, we believe it is vital that children are provided the opportunity to develop their leadership experience and confidence. Through experiencing leadership responsibilities, children are able to showcase our school values of respect, equality, independence and many more. This page outlines some of the leadership roles available at our school.

Junior Governors
Junior Governors
Our Junior Governors are a group of pupils who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and work together to improve our school. We follow a democratic process to elect the Junior Governors. If they wish to become a Junior Governor the pupils must complete a short application form expressing why they feel they will be a member of the team. They are then invited to an interview where they need to discuss why their are suitable for the role and what impact they would have on the school.
At Alexander McLeod Primary School we have 1 representative from each Key Stage 2 class that form the Junior Governors. In the Junior Governors there is a Junior Chair of Governors and a vice chair.

Junior Travel Ambassadors
Junior Travel Ambassadors
The Junior Travel Ambassador scheme is run by Transport for London. The role of our Junior Travel Ambassadors is to make travelling to school safer and more active.

At Alexander McLeod Primary School we encourage pupils and parents to travel to school by cycling, scooting and walking (active travel) wherever possible.
This school travel policy explains how we will be encouraging active travel to school. We will discuss the policy with the pupils regularly to ensure its relevance. For pupils unable to travel to school actively, we encourage use of public transport or car-share.

Midday Marvels
Midday Marvels
The midday marvels work alongside our Midday Meal supervisors to oversee the lunchtime arrangements. This group of children are responsible for ensuring children in Key Stage 1 are taught how to play. They work closely with the younger children to ensure that a range of exciting activities are available and managed during lunchtime. The midday marvels also ensure the dining hall is well maintained and that all children are following the rules during the lunch hour.
